Front and back cover consist of smooth cream card with slight sheen and printed red ink. The internal pages are a smooth cream paper with black ink and are slightly smaller than cover so pages have been perfectly protected throughout its years and as a result is in fantastic condition. The programme is filled with interesting advertisements of the time and detailed illustrations. The cast list is printed across the centre pages.
The Play is a musical comedy which opened at The Aldwych theatre in March 1906 and in December moved to the newly opened Hicks Theatre (now known as the Gielgud Theatre, Shaftesbury Ave.). This musical comedy stars a famous husband and wife: Seymour Hicks (author of The Beauty of Bath) and his beautiful and successful actress wife Ellaline Terriss. This comedy was produced by American theatre producer Charles Frohman (who went on to promote such playwrights as J.M. Barrie).
