An extremely rare and fascinating collection for a Royal Command Performance bestowed upon director, Mr Arthur Collins, to honour the German Emperor and his Empress.  It is an exceptional set of pieces comprising of the theatre programme, ticket, postcard with encompassing folders/wallets.

The theatre programme, printed in gold and red, has 4 pages: cast list and synopsis of scenery on pages 2 & 3; Programme of Music on the back page, page 4. The programme has remained encased in a rigid board folder which has kept it in excellent condition. The cover of the folder has the Royal Coat of Arms and the German Coat of Arms heavily embossed and gilded.

Also included in this set is an incredibly elaborate ticket, printed in gold and silver grey. The right hand page was a keepsake for the purchaser (see statement at the bottom of page: THIS PORTION NEED NOT BE BROUGHT TO THE THEATRE). The left hand part of the ticket was also to be retained. The perforated spine is completely intact. This exceptional ticket has its own card cover with original ribbon. The decorative cover is printed in gold and silver grey with the name of the theatre.

The set is completed with a real photographic postcard of the Emperor & Empress of Germany, taken at Windsor Castle November 13th 1907.

This special performance of Money, by Edward Bulwar, Lord Lytton, was performed by a who’s who of the top actors of the period under the direction of the eminent Mr Arthur Collins.
