A large format, very attractive programme. The paper is a cream gloss with black ink on internal pages. Page 2 has a full page military tailor advertisement with detailed illustrations of well-dressed gentlemen in officer’s uniform and evening attire. There is a charming photo of the managing director Mr Frank Allen in all his greatness. Among the historical and informative advertisements in the programme there are photographs of cast and even caricatures drawn by Tom Downey. There is a fascinating full page article advertising the upcoming release of Miss Shirley Kellogg’s book featuring hundreds of letters sent to her from men at the front fighting for king and country during the great war. Included is an insert advertising future performances at the Hippodrome. There is a full and detailed illustration on the cover of the programme advertising the play and on the back cover is a blue inked illustration of cherubs for an advertisement of fruit salts.

36 pages including front and back covers and 1 insert. Approx. H 28cm x W 22cm

Condition Code: 4: Two rusty staples but pages firmly secure. Minimal damp stains on cover and slight tear from seal. There is a tear from production on pages 23 & 24 in bottom right corner, presumably from the page being cut incorrectly. The programme is in wonderful condition especially for its 100 years.
