Description

Date: 1933
Theatre: The Royal Albert Hall
Performance: Sunday Concerts
Main Performers: Yehudi Menuhin and Walter Bohle

This very special programme presents a very young Yehudi Menuhin playing, with Walter Bohle at the piano, Beethoven, Bach, Paganini, Brahams-Joachim and Sarasate. The programme includes two photographs of the 17-year-old genius musician clutching his violin. The programme also advertises the next twelve afternoon concerts from December 17th 1933 – April 8th 1934. There are interesting advertisements including Columbia Records and His Masters Voice, (as you would expect!)

The front cover holds a beautiful colourful print of a watercolour illustration depicting a picturesque waterfall behind draping tree branches. In front of this scenery are two mystical creatures.

The programme consists of 28 pages including front and back covers. Approx. H 21cm x W 17cm

Condition Code: 2-3: Staples rusted, resulting in most pages to have detached from the staples; however, the pages are in good condition, no folds or tears, smooth with little evidence of any handling.
