This mid 1920s theatre programme is for the performance All the King’s Horses, a light comedy in 3 acts, written by Charles Elton Openshaw in 1926 at the Globe Theatre. The cast list is presented across page 6 and includes popular performers of the time including Irene Vanbrugh. Miss Vanbrugh was born in Exeter, England in 1872-1949.

The programme has interesting 1920s advertisements, some with lovely illustrations and photographs.  The back-cover page has a wonderful illustration of two women in an open toped Morris car driving along and smiling enjoying their time; the advertisement is for Stewart & Ardern Ltd promoting Morris Cars.

12 pages including front and back cover pages. Approx. H22cm x W14cm.

Condition Code: 4: Original staple remains, slightly rusted but pages firmly secure. The original seal sticker remains on front and back cover pages. Ink notation date at top of front cover page reads ‘March 13th 1926’ written presumably by original theatre-goer. The programme has no evidence of foxing or tears. Slight nibbling to edges of programme. Small rust stains to the lower back of cover page by spine. Pages 1-4 has a small fold to the top right corner. Overall the condition of the programme is very good for its age.
