Book: This Near Fine, beautiful copy has crisp, original black boards with bright unfaded red titles to the spine and the red heart to the front. The boards are clean with sharp corners and no edge wear. The binding is tight and endpapers clean. No owner names, no inscriptions, no bookplates, no bookstore stamps, no foxing. The internal pages are clean with no stains, no handling, no marks, no writing, no foxing, and no bent pages (it appears to be unread); Slight dusting to upper page block; Requisite rough-cut lower page block as issued. A rare, solid example of this particular title, being clean and without issue or inscriptions.

Dust Jacket: Original, firm, near fine copy; Unclipped 10s 6d. The front flap shows the Sunday Times review demonstrating the First Edition, Second State status of this dust jacket (The first state jacket does not have the Sunday Times review which is the only distinction between the first and second state). This original first printing dust jacket has strong vibrant colours still maintaining the brilliant red to the hearts in the front panel and bright yellow titles to the spine. The jacket is not price-clipped and has the stated price of 10s 6d net to both the front and rear flaps.

A very striking, handsome example of this Fleming title in extremely scarce condition with stunning dust jacket! Outstanding presentation on the shelf.
