What We Do

Discover
We search for the top theatre programmes and theatre memorabilia from all around the world and pop them in one handy place just for you! Theatre programmes are as diverse as the performances they show. Each programme is so much more than a cast list: it shows the stepping stones of an actor’s career; the ethos of a theatre; it illustrates the fashions and culture of the day.
Research
We then research the programme's history, to find you the relevant dates, actors/actresses and theatres. Ghosts of theatres long gone are brought to life. Were times frugal or flamboyant? Even the texture of the paper and design of print hold clues. The advertisements inspire nostalgia helping to piece together the history of the day.
Quality
It is our priority to offer theatre programmes in as good condition as possible. Poor condition programmes do not join the Love Theatre Programmes collection. Most of our programmes are within the top three grades of condition: Good, Very Good, Excellent. Only if the programme has important historical interest will it be offered as ‘fair’. We know that careful collecting preserves history. All our theatre programmes have a detailed condition report.
