This extremely rare theatre programme, in exceptional condition, presents international variety acts and two ballet performances at the lost theatre, Alhambra in London’s Leicester Square.
Bound with original red ribbon, the programme has a stiff matt cream card front and back cover. The front cover is particularly striking with a bronzed embossed moon, and star and red embossed Alhambra Theatre. The internal pages include charming illustrations and informative advertisements relevant to the decade. The cast list for the variety performance is displayed across centre pages, and page 1 has fascinating detailed illustrations of the Alhambra Theatre in all its magnificence.
A rare, historical document for the theatre as it was demolished in 1936. The flag-ship Leicester Square Odeon has been built on the site.
