This programme, printed in brown ink on cream paper, is dated exactly to 20th January 1883 presumably by the original owner attending the performance. The play, first seen in 1867 at the Prince of Wales Theatre, was dedicated to Mr and Mrs Bancroft (then Marie Wilton) by the author Thomas Robertson.
