This beautiful and rare silk programme was printed for one night only, Tuesday, February 24^th, 1885. Thanks to its stiff board construction the programme and the silk covering are in exceptional condition.

Silk programmes were produced mainly, but not solely, in late 1800s – early 1900s, to celebrate special occasions such as an opening of a new theatre, royal commands, visiting royalty and VIPs, charity events and such like. Often printed for the one night they are quite rare to find.

A wonderful example of near fine theatre programme for discerning collector of antique theatre documents.
