This rare and very special theatre programme presents As You Like It, on October 20th,, 1888, the first production of this newly built theatre.

The Shaftesbury Theatre, London was built in 1888 by Mr. John Lancaster; his wife, Miss Ellen Wallis, a popular Shakespearean actress, plays Rosalind in this production.

Condition Code: 5. Made of lightweight card, this programme has remained in excellent condition. Pages flat and smooth. Discreet 1 cm split at top of spine fold. Evidence of light horizontal fold.
