This luxurious souvenir programme presents the performance of The Little Minister written by J. M. Barrie. A story about working and class struggles with romance and a happy ending.

This hardcover souvenir contains 14 separate drawings of the characters in the play by Phil May, reproduced from the original pictures that were being exhibited at the Royal Academy at the time; one leaf of four photographs with printed signatures of J. M. Barrie, Winifred Emery, Cyril Maude and Frederick Harrisson; a photograph of the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. The cast list is on the inside of the front board.

Phil May was a highly regarded caricaturist, working for Punch and The Graphic, and a founder member of the London Sketch Club.

Condition Code: 4-5: The hard board cover has successfully protected the drawings inside. The cover is bright and clean; the red ribbon tie is intact. There is only light wear and chipping to edges and spine. A lovely historical, theatre collector’s item.
