Description
The Gondoliers opened at the Savoy Theatre on December 7th, 1889 and ran successfully for 554 performances, closing on 30 June 1891, however, this was to be the last opera Messrs. Gilbert and Sullivan wrote for Mr D’Oyly Carte and the Savoy theatre.

This rare and beautiful poster is 120 years years old has been stored rolled, not folded, thus is in near fine condition without folds or creases.
This poster formed part of the late Reverend Peter Joslin collection of Gilbert and Sullivan memorabilia.
