This early 1940s theatre programme presents The Doctor’s Dilemma, a complicated, moral dilemma play written by the famous Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw. George Bernard Shaw (1856 – 1950) wrote such plays as Candida, Caesar and Cleopatra and, of course, the extremely successful and well-known play Pygmalion. The star of the production was the talented and popular stage and screen actress, Vivien Leigh (star of the hit film Gone with the Wind).
