A rare theatre programme for the Queen’s Theatre, Poplar High Road, East End of London. The programme of acts is across the centre pages and advertisements throughout; the advertisements give a distinctive East End flavour compared with the West End programmes.

On a site of previous theatres, in 1903 The Queen’s Theatre of Varieties was born and was a hugely popular venue in the East of London. Eventually renamed Queen’s Theatre, young stars of the future passed through its doors, Charlie Chaplin and Gracie Fields to name just two. Sadly, it has become a lost theatre, having closed down in 1958.
