This interesting theatre programme presents a performance of The Mikado by The Musical Theatre Company in 1979 at the Westminster Theatre. The programme includes performers’ biographies; an interesting full page article about the history of Westminster Theatre; cast list and synopsis of the opera; a revealing article on the dynamic and creative duo Gilbert and Sullivan. A really interesting read.

Gilbert & Sullivan were a prolific and successful two-man team who created fourteen comic operas together over a period of around 25 years. William S. Gilbert, born in London, (1836-1911) was a successful lyricist, poet and illustrator. Arthur S. Sullivan was the composer, also born in London, (1842-1900), the son of a military band master.

The programme is made up of 24 pages including front and back cover pages. Approx. H21cm x W15cm.
