This striking little programme presents The Magistrate, written by respected playwright, Arthur Wing Pinero, in 1885. This was Mr. Pinero’s first farcical comedy; having been well known for his more serious plays this surprised his fans and critics. However, it was received well and ran for one year. This play has lasted the test of time and has been revived many times over the years.
This programme contains three pages of short biographies of the company and an interesting feature about Sir Arthur Wing Pinero.
