A particularly exciting theatre programme presenting Underneath the Arches, the story of Flanagan and Allen and the Crazy Gang. With a poignant letter written by Chesney Allen and an interesting chronology of the Crazy Gang members, the programme is packed with fascinating photographs of both the colourful show and monochrome photos depicting candid moments of the original Crazy Gang members, meeting the Queen Mother, fooling around with Danny Kaye and much more.
In this 1982 star-studded show, Flanagan and Allen were played by Roy Hudd and Christopher Timothy with Billie Gray, (Eddie Gray’s brother), Joe Black, Peter Glaze, Tommy Godfrey, Don Smoothey completing the team. Peter Glaze had a close connection with the Crazy Gang and as their understudy had filled in for all of them during their shows.
