This colourful, historic theatre programme presents a variety performance at the Empire Theatre in 1889. The acts include Dancers, Singers, Actors, Acrobats and Comedians. The cast list is presented across the centre pages and is bordered by a variety of interesting local advertisements. The advertisements including James Buchanan & Co.’s Liqueur Scotch Whisky, Overton’s Oyster Salon and Restaurant, and Dragoumis cigarettes. The front and back covers have beautiful colourful eye-catching illustrations.

The internal pages are printed in black and blue ink. The front and back cover pages are printed with a colourful selection of inks.

The programme made of card: 4 pages including front and back covers; approx. H28cm x W21cm.

Condition Code: 3-4: Evidence of two horizontal folds to the programme. Approx. 2.5cms discreet tear to the bottom right of front cover. Minimal foxing to top of programmes front cover. Spine intact. Faint evidence of wear as expected from the programmes grand age of 127 years.
