This beautiful, rare souvenir theatre programme presents Becket, by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, on the 6^th February 1893. The hard board cover has been illustrated in gold, black and red by J. Bernard Partridge. The cover has protected the internal pages superbly which contain 13 stunning plates by J. Bernard Partridge, W. Telbin, J. Harker and the highly revered scene painter, Henry Hawes Craven Green (otherwise known as Hawes Craven). The plates portray scenes throughout the play. The eminent cast included the renowned theatrical couple, Henry Irving and Ellen Terry.
