Incredibly colourful art-work on three panels, this rare theatre programme is in excellent condition for 1800s. The Hammersmith Palace of Varieties opened in 1898 and remained a variety theatre until only 1909.

This historical theatre programme presents 18 various entertaining acts and lists the famous Miss Lily Langtree as ‘Comedienne’! Surrounding the cast list are a good mix of advertisements….we especially like the helpful information in the bottom right corner.

A six-sided programme made of stiff paper (not card); approx. 25cms x 12cms when closed

 

Condition Code 4: Excellent condition for age: pages smooth and intact; an approx. 3.5cm split on right hand edge; approx. 1cm split on left spine; a nick on front cover edge; does not detract from quality of programme...see images.
