This programme is presenting Mme. Sarah Bernhardt leading her company with excerpts from four classical plays,  to commence September 18th 1911.

Each play excerpt has a synopsis of around three pages and has accompanying photographs. Theodora (act III) by Victorien Sardou, La Dame Aux Camelias by Alexandre Dumas fils, Le Proces de Jeanne D’Arc by Emile Moreau and Fedora by Victorien Sardou. The programme is filled with striking illustrations and photos of Mme Bernhardt playing her roles. The illustrarated advertisements offer a glimpse of the period. An historical gem and a good read

Condition Code: 4-5: The majority of the programme has been printed on parchment style paper with photograps on smoother paper. Two rusty staples, pages secured with clear tape see the spine of pages 2&3. Pale water stain to top of pages 7&8. Slight foxing to a few pages. Approx.1cm tear to the lower right of the front cover, slightly nibbled edge to front and back cover. Overall the book is in really very good condition at 100+ years
