An interesting magazine theatre programme for the Rupert D’Oyly Carte’s Season of Gilbert & Sullivan Operas presenting Princess Ida, also known as Castle Adamant. Princess Ida is a comic opera about a princess who supports women’s education and opens a university and promotes women to be superior to men and should take over the ruling and running of the country!

The programme consists of a smooth paper and is printed in purple ink. It includes interesting articles and stage stories, theatrical confessions, professional gossip and much more. The programme is also packed with informative advertisements and detailed illustrations.

Condition Code: 3-4: No splits, tears or folds. Minimal evidence of any handling. Two rusty staples but pages secure. Small rust stains on front cover page. Has the original seal sticker in green and white on front and back cover. In very good condition for age.
