This modest variety theatre programme presents a music hall style programme of events featuring amongst others Frankie Howerd, Charlie Clapham and The Henderson Twins.

The number on front cover is a raffle for free entry to the show in the following week. Brilliant Idea!

Opened in 1836 as a concert hall known as Turnham’s Grand Concert Hall, the theatre became the Metropolitan Music Hall in 1864. Offering much variety and entertainment for 127 years it finally closed in April 1963 and was subsequently demolished to join the sad list of ‘lost theatres’.

Tri-fold format; approx 19cms x 8.5cms when closed, 19cms x 25 cms when fully open

Condition Code: 4: good condition; pages clean and smooth; approx 1cm discreet tear on opening edge.
