This beautiful, rare souvenir theatre programme presents Dead Heart by Watts Phillips, produced by Henry Irving. The yellow, stiff card cover has been illustrated with the red, white and blue flag of France. The cover has protected the internal pages superbly which contain 13 stunning plates by J. Bernard Partridge, W. Telbin, J. Harker and the highly revered scene painter, Henry Hawes Craven Green (otherwise known as Hawes Craven). The plates portray scenes throughout the play. The eminent cast included the renowned couple, Henry Irving and Ellen Terry.

Contains the cast list on page 11 and the story of Dead Heart is on pages 7-9.

40 pages not including cover; approx. H16.5cms x W24cms

Condition Code: 4: Some slight age discolouration on the covers. The board cover is intact and secure and has protected the internal pages superbly. The paste-down end paper and the free end paper inside the front of the book have become detached but the binding at spine is still intact with no damage. The book has hardly been opened and therefore was impossible to scan. So as not to damage the book we photographed the pages. A rare find in such good condition!
