A very interesting theatre programme printed on heavy paper.
With an elite cast list, this programme includes ‘A Producer’s Note’ by Mr. Herbert Beerbohm Tree plus an article about the history of the play.
With his extravagant sets and large casting Mr. Beerbohm Tree brought Shakespeare and other classics back into the realms of popularity. Theatre was his life’s work, investor, builder, manager and lead actor. He founded the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1904 and was knighted in 1909.
A fascinating read.
