This large Shakespeare Memorial Theatre souvenir presents the 1956 Season of Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice, Othello, Love’s Labour’s Lost and Measure for Measure. The souvenir contains many full-page photographs and biographies of Shakespearean actors past and present; artistic portrayals of costumes and stage and fascinating editorial.

The Shakespeare Memorial Theatre first opened in 1879 but after a fire swept through the theatre in 1926 the New Shakespeare Memorial Theatre rose from the ashes and opened in 1932.

Condition Code: 4-5: Excellent condition for its 64 years. No tears or folds. Slight scuff on lower spine and corner. Crease at bottom right corner of front cover.
