This beautiful silk programme has been dated by reconciling the performing cast with an original advertising poster held by the British Library. Silk programmes were printed during the late 1800s and early 1900s to usually denote performances of significance, for example opening nights, royal attendance, charity events, anniversaries etc.
This programme has been fixed on to a mount which has kept it protected and thus in excellent condition.
